treehouse is an online technology school that offers beginner to advanced courses in web design, web development, mobile development and game development taught by a team of expert teachers.
How does it work?
As a method to focus one's learning efforts, treehouse has various 'Tracks' that can be completed. Each 'Track' is a course outline, allowing students to advance from course to course with the necessary prerequisite

Tracks are a collection of courses focused on specific languages and/or projects. Although a student can take any course anytime, tracks provide an ideal learning environment by ensuring each course builds upon the prerquisite knowledge of the previous
Courses are made up by lessons. Think of these as 'learning blocks'. Each bringing new instruction and challenging the student with quizzes and coding challenges. Passing a lesson earns a 'badge'. Check out my badges below.
Everything you do inside treehouse earns points. Ranging from a single point for watching a video inside a lesson, to earning 30 points for passing a Lesson, all the way to earning 150 points for completing a Track. Points are not only totaled, but they are also broken down into their respective categories. Points are a great way to visualize what I've focused on inside treehouse.
